OneNote Annoyance (or Is It Windows?)
Every time I opened OneNote, it only filled the screen halfway. I had to click the Maximize button to open it full screen.
I figured there must be a way to get it to open full screen but I couldn't find any setting any where to make it open full screen.
Nothing in File/Options. I searched online, nothing very helpful, only folks wanting programs to not open full screen.
Since I have a subscription for Microsoft Office I decided to contact support for help and selected Chat. The agent first wanted my product ID, which I don't have for subscription, so he asked for my name, email, etc. and then when he decided he could help me, we went on to the problem. Of course he didn't know I know how to minimize or maximize a program so we had to get through that.
Then he want me to let him access my computer to fix the problem. 'No way, no one is in my computer but me'.
So he checked his 'Resources' and had me go to this link.
http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-desktop/how-to-make-programsfiles-etc-open-in-full-screen/5016808e-ec78-475b-b398-2a0a5c7590c4
That's all well and good, maybe for Windows 7, but it didn't help me one bit. OneNote still opened half screen.
I tried the method shown here in tenforums:
http://www.tenforums.com/general-support/34261-there-anyway-open-fullscreen-windows-default.html
It seemed to work at first, but still it didn't keep very long, it still opened half screen.
Then I searched the Help in OneNote.
In Keyboard shortcuts in OneNote 2016 for Windows, I Found 'Press F11 to enable disable full screen.
There is no F11 key on this Toshiba!
Need to press the Fn key while pressing the f key and 11 at the same time? Seems awkward, but will try it. http://forums.toshiba.com/t5/Keyboards-Touchpads/Function-Key-F9-F10-F11-etc/td-p/507305
After all this it finally seems to be fixed as OneNote is now opening full screen. I hope it continues to do so!

OneNote
I love Microsoft OneNote. I keep everything in OneNote from Windows 10 Tips and Tricks to Recipes to what I did and when I did it.
I want all my notebooks to be sorted alphabetically. But when I add a new notebook it gets added to the bottom of the list. I could right click on the notebook and select 'Move Up', but I have a LOT of notebooks and this gets to be tedious as you can only move up one at a time.
Macros from Onetastic to the rescue! So now I can sort notebooks by name, oh so easy and fast!
Some of my notebooks have a lot of sections. It's nice to have those sorted as well.
Sort OneNote 2010 Sections and Pages While it says it’s for OneNote 2010, it works great for OneNote 2016.
If you have Windows 10, OneNote is included. For earlier versions of Windows, go to Microsoft’s site for OneNote and download your free copy.
What's the difference between OneNote and OneNote 2016? Not much!
Before I started using OneNote, I used another note taking program, Evernote. I still use Evernote some, but I had so many notes in Evernote I had to get the premium version. I found a supercool program that could transfer my notes from Evernote into OneNote, called Evernote2OneNote
Microsoft has a similar tool as well, haven’t tried it yet.

Windows Time
I tried Firefox, Chrome and Edge all with the same results.
I checked the time and date, it's ok. I logged into other sites, no problem.
I rebooted my computer, same thing.
I tried with another computer, got logged in with no problem.
So it's this computer.
I checked the firewall. Turned if off, same results. Not the Firewall.
Ran a scan with Windows Defender.
Ran a Scan with Malwarebytes Pro.
Ran CCleaner.
No joy.
What could cause a web session time out on my computer in less than 10 seconds?
Finally, I seemed to recall an issue with the time zone when I initially set up Windows 10. I manually set up everything and I 'thought' all was well. Apparently I was wrong.
So I started checking. First I went back to Settings in Windows 10. Looks OK.

Under Related Settings I clicked Additional Time and Regional Settings.
Then I saw this!
The time was wrong! So I clicked the tab for Internet time:

There were two options:
It was defaulted to Time windows.com which gave an error when I clicked ‘Update now’.

So I changed it to the other option, nist.gov and it updated!

I went back to Charter’s website , logged in and voila! No more messages telling me my saying my session had expired.
The time and date on Windows 10 seemed to be correct, but it wasn’t until I connected it to the server for time and date.
I should have checked this first but the time and date showing in the lower right corner had the correct info and when I went into Settings that also showed the right time and date. The manual setup seemed to be right, but it really wasn’t. I now wonder why Windows didn’t connect to the Internet time and date server when I first setup Windows1

My iPad-Same Song Second Verse
After it was restored, I noticed sometimes it didn’t seem quite right, but nothing I could really tell what was wrong. Sometimes an app didn’t seem to work wrong, but that could have been the app, not the iPad.
It worked ok for a year and a half. Until last Friday. I turned it on and was greeted with ‘Hi!’ and it wanted me to set it up.
What the heck is going on with this iPad? So I proceeded to the setup process, but guess what, it wouldn’t let me login with my Apple id!

(photo taken with iPhone)
So I called Apple support and the same routine took place. The Apple tech had me give her the serial number and she said this iPad was registered with a really weird id, not mine!
So I guess I was right, something really wasn’t quite right after the first restore. Maybe somewhere my id had been corrupted? My son said sounded like maybe a programmer was testing and didn’t finish? Who knows?
I just hope I don’t have any problems with my iPhone!
Fortunately this time I had my saved copy of the BestBuy receipt for the iPad so at least I didn’t have to go back to BestBuy.
So after being transferred to second line of Tech support, I sent him the scanned copy of the receipt . I asked him if this happened very often and he said “All the time”.
So I waited until Monday for the email letting me know my iPad was reset, turned it on and managed to get it up and going. I am a bit concerned as it took a really long time to boot, so maybe this iPad is starting to fail.
I did not have any problems with my very first iPad, the first one Apple produced. Then I got my current iPad with retina display because I do have vision problems and it helped.
Now I am wondering if my next tablet may be a Samsung or even a Surface Book, although I can’t get some of the apps I like on a Windows system.
I suspect my frustration with all this is because when I have a Windows problem I can almost always fix it without having to depend on someone else.
I think when it comes to tech stuff I may be somewhat of a control freak.
